Breadth #3: Illustrated Puns
For this project, each student chose a pun to illustrate in photographic form using digital illustration. To change it up a bit, students were not allowed to know each others puns, collaborate, or critique/give advice. This proved to be very difficult for this group of four students, who have known each other for a long time and have been collaborating since their first Photography class. It was fun to see the interaction and challenges they faced on their own. After they shot for the project, some layered photos digitally and some enhanced or retouched parts of photos. Then came the final addition: Integrate digital illustration into the final photo.
